In it, it is possible to trace the so-called \u201c<strong>value proposition<\/strong>\u201d, i.e. the set of qualities that make a brand recognisable compared to its competitors.<\/p><p>Brand awareness means not only the notoriety, but also the <strong>consciousness<\/strong>, <strong>desirability<\/strong> and <strong>liking of consumers for a brand<\/strong>. It is a perception that can arise spontaneously (unaided brand awareness) or through solicitation (assisted brand awareness). The difference between the first and second case is that, when brand awareness is solicited, it is the result of marketing campaigns and, in general, targeted communication.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a3920d9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"a3920d9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">How to analyse brand awareness<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fe65802 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"fe65802\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Being an \u201c<strong>intangible value<\/strong>\u201d, it is not easy to illustrate. It is possible to say that brand awareness is the result of several factors that all have one purpose: to fix the brand in the consumer&#8217;s mind.<\/p><p>One of the methods of conducting a <strong>market survey<\/strong> to find out one&#8217;s own positioning with respect to <strong>competitors<\/strong> is to subject a sample of consumers to a <strong>questionnaire<\/strong>, in which they are asked: \u201cIn relation to sector X, what is the first brand that comes to mind?\u201d Well, the one that is mentioned several times will obtain the best positioning, which can be expressed as an <strong>absolute value<\/strong>, <strong>graph<\/strong> or <strong>percentage<\/strong>.<\/p><p>An alternative method is to ask consumers to choose a brand from a list of brands in the same market segment. Here again, the most frequently chosen brand will obtain the best\u00a0<strong>positioning<\/strong>.<\/p><p>It is evident from the two surveys that if the first case is \u201c<strong>spontaneous brand awareness<\/strong>\u201d, in the second case there is \u201c<strong>induced brand awareness<\/strong>\u201d; the sum of the two indices gives rise to \u201c<strong>total brand awareness<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p><p>The most important indicator relating to brand awareness, however, is <strong>Top of Mind (TOM) awareness<\/strong>, i.e. the first brand that comes to the consumer&#8217;s mind when he thinks to a certain class of products\/services. It, at an abstract level, represents the <strong>highest awareness level<\/strong> attainable by a brand.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element
